The Art of Public Speaking is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in both nonverbal and verbal communication skills, empowering them to communicate confidently in day-to-day conversations. Throughout the course, students will analyze some of the greatest speeches in history, identifying key elements that make them impactful. They will then apply these insights to craft and deliver their own speeches. The course concludes with an exciting competition where students will present their final speeches, competing for cash prizes of up to $200. Key Learning Objectives: Master fundamental public speaking techniques, including posture, gestures, vocal variety, and eye contact. Develop confidence in both prepared and impromptu speaking scenarios. Analyze and deconstruct famous speeches to understand persuasive strategies and audience engagement. Learn to structure, draft, and refine original speeches with clear purpose and impact. Participate in a culminating speech competition to showcase acquired skills.
